Dehesa Nolina Site

MAP     Satellite

One of the two known sites of Nolina interrata, this is the type locality.  This highly endemic species grows in several patches here in association with a number of plants including the California sagebrush, Artemisia californica, the buckwheat, Eriogonum fasciculatum, and Viguiera laciniata.  The area is on a south-facing slope of moderate steepness.

Integrity:  Burned in 1970, there was no apparent harm to the population.  The proximity to the road makes one patch subject to pilferage.  Recreational and residential developments in the area may encroach upon this site.

Use:  Private
